TEW and WOM members who receive monthly e-newsletters have likely noticed a wonderful change in them.

The creative upgrades to the announcements are a result of the hard work of Abi Cowell, a TEW member and part of TEW communications committee.

TEW president Jackalyn Rainosek says Cowell's donates her social media skills not only to TEW, but to other groups as well.

" Abi does terrific work !  She and the other members of the committee donate their writing, editing and social media skills to help our communications be the best they can be."

Cowell is a busy lady. In addition to donating her social media skills to non profits like TEW and Lemonade Day, she is married with two young boys and the owner of her own business.

The native Houstonian is founder and co-owner of Promote Community, a social media marketing agency.

"As a member of the Communications Committee, I help to develop and implement strategic social media initiatives, organize content both for TEW membership and to the general public and design email campaigns," Cowell explained.

She is attracted to TEW's professional membership and mentoring program.

" So many young people are denied opportunities they might have otherwise been interested in pursuing due to a less than ideal environment (family, social, economic or geographic).  Sometimes, just knowing successful individuals and seeing that "It can be done!" can spark ideas and motivation."
